Literature Text

I was in love with a mosquito.
  You hid under butterfly wings
  And surrounded yourself with flowers
    -including myself.
You sucked my blood away from me,
  Made me itch for answers.
You stole my happiness, without me knowing.
I gave you my power, foolishly and willingly
   I trusted you.
And when I smacked you off my heart
  I hit myself too hard
And now I'm broken, slightly shattered and not completely whole.
In the process, I killed the life you knew.
And it's not like a bad dream where, we can just wake up screaming.
And it's all going to be okay
Because my screams so real
  Were like a sad song
     No one wants to hear.
So as I sat in the grass
The rain pounding down
  When the sirens blew by
I knew nobody could hear me, especially you, my mosquito.
Many times you made me cry
And although you're done, crushed and gone,
  Your power still remains
And surges through my veins like a poison
That hurts my heart every beat.
         I itch all over.
But now...like the universe
Every second we grow further
Your transmission is weaker
My heart is stronger
My eyes are drier, and time goes on...
It is the day now
Not what I expected nor what I wanted
Regardless
   Delightful and young,
      I live on.
Don't worry though
Because I'll never forget you
And I'll never forget the time when
I was in love with a mosquito.
The last poem that I'm writing for you. ;D

Delightful and young, I live on. I love that line. Nice imagery and feeling here. loved it. (stupid mosquitos, don't you just hate them).
